ASHLEY - TRAVEL PT & MENTOR/COACH

Ashley Giambra is a Physical Therapist and mentor with Teach Travel Therapy. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Daemen University in 2022 and has spent the past three and a half years practicing as a travel physical therapist alongside her fiancé.

Through travel therapy, Ashley has gained experience across diverse clinical settings, including outpatient orthopedics, vestibular therapy, skilled nursing, long-term and memory care, as well as acute care and ICU. Her contracts have taken her from the East Coast to the West Coast, including NY, OH, MD, MA, NC, SC, TX, OR, and NM. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new cities, discovering small-town coffee shops, and cheering for all the Buffalo sports teams.

Ashley’s passion for physical therapy began as a patient. Growing up in Buffalo, NY, she spent over 15 years as a competitive baton twirler, and her experiences with injuries sparked her curiosity about the body and the role of movement in recovery. That curiosity evolved into a career, complemented by her love for teaching and mentoring. She coached baton twirling for more than eight years and has tutored students in subjects including chemistry, statistics, kinesiology, and musculoskeletal rehabilitation.

She believes that everyone learns differently; a principle she applies to helping clinicians navigate travel therapy. Whether guiding new graduates or experienced clinicians, Ashley is dedicated to providing support, mentorship, and confidence as others embark on this unique career path.
